(The Center Square) — Incumbent Maine Sen. Susan Collins is pushing back hard against claims by a Democratic super PAC attack ad rolled out this week that she voted to cut Medicaid funding.

The $2 million ad buy from the Senate Majority PAC, a political action committee that backs efforts to win a Democratic majority in the Senate, targets the incumbent Republican over a procedural vote on President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill last year, and blames her for the closure of birthing centers in the state.
