Red Fox expected to reopen within two weeks following early-morning fire Sunday

The fire began as a grease fire on the stove at 4:30 a.m. as cooks prepared for the breakfast buffet, Mallett said. The fire quickly got into the stove hood, into the duct work and into the roof. The fire suppression system "never engaged like it was supposed to," Mallett said.

Four people were in the building at the time of the fire, Mallett said. Everyone got out safe. He thanked the firefighters for their efforts, which minimized the damage. "They got here very quickly," he said.
