TUFTONBORO — Selectmen are asking the governor for permission hold a special election in March to replace former state Rep. Glenn Cordelli (R-Tuftonboro), one of the Legislature’s biggest advocates for school choice and Education Freedom Accounts.

Cordelli resigned from his Carroll District 7 seat after selling his home and moving out of the district, which spans Tuftonboro, Wolfeboro and  Ossipee. Prior to the resignation, he chaired the House Education Policy and Administration Committee.
