CONWAY — If we want music to survive and flourish in our schools, we need to invest a little bit of money. That was the message the Conway School Board received from at least one member of the Conway Municipal Budget Committee on Jan. 7.

The school board, at its Jan. 12 meeting, discussed the possibility of increasing the proposed 2026-27 music department’s budget from $20,000 to $50,000 to replace and refurbish band equipment at Kennett High and Kennett Middle School.
