CONWAY — Runners in blue T-shirts ran through town, across the Kancamagus Highway and down to Camp Pemigewassett Monday to raise money for the camp and to remember a former camper with local ties.
The annual "Rittner Run" is held in August and benefits the Fred Rittner Pemi Campership Fund, which makes it possible for children to attend Camp Pemigewassett, in Wentworth. Camp Pemi, founded in 1908, is a camp that strives to help boys 8-15 years old become "self-reliant, caring and successful young men with a passion for all that they do."
