CONWAY — Sunday morning saw about an inch of snow fall throughout the region, with most of it quickly gone by the afternoon, but nonetheless helping to set the stage for more to come.

“I measured two-tenths of an inch at 7 a.m. at my weather station at my home off West Side Road in North Conway and then another inch at noontime, giving us 1.2 inches. We went for a walk in the woods in the morning, and it was beautiful,” said local cooperative weather service observer Ed Bergeron on Monday. “It was gone later in the afternoon once it turned back to rain.”
