OSSIPEE — An attorney who lives in Bartlett and filed a lawsuit over the Conway Rec path is now asking a Carroll County Superior Court judge to hold former DOT Commissioner Bill Cass in contempt for going hiking rather than appearing at a court-ordered deposition.
James Pietrangelo said the state illegally gave the land to the town after he tried to buy it. At a hearing in December of 2024, Pietrangelo, who is an attorney, said he felt the "clear option" was for the court to order that the rec path be removed.
