OSSIPEE — Ossipee selectmen are hoping to convert a former New Hampshire Electric Co-Operative building into a new police station. Then they would sell off the department’s current building to help pay for the new one. The project would not require additional taxation, they said.

The selectmen — Jonathan Smith (chair), Sue Simpson and Brian Keyes — discussed the plan at a public hearing May 15. A second public hearing could be held May 28.
