OSSIPEE — Among 12 Preservation Achievement Awards recently given out statewide by the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance, two have gone to two projects in Carroll County: the preservation of the Whittier Covered Bridge in Ossipee and the volunteer restoration work at the South Eaton Meeting House.

The Preservation Alliance of Concord on May 7 cited the town of Ossipee for the rehabilitation and preservation of the historic 1870-built Whittier Covered Bridge.
