CONCORD — The Judicial Branch has announced that Robert J. Lynn of Windham is the new chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He was sworn in Monday by Gov. Christopher Sununu, making him the 36th justice to lead the state’s highest court.

Lynn had been confirmed by the Executive Council on a unanimous vote in March.
