SARGENT’S PURCHASE — A hiker on Mount Washington was rescued overnight Wednesday by New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers after wind-blown snow obscured the trail.

Amy Baker, 45, of Easton activated an emergency locator beacon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday that alerted rescuers that she needed assistance on the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail on the west side of Mount Washington.
