TAMWORTH — A motorcyclist crashed into a police cruiser last Saturday on Page Hill Road, after which a second motorcyclist skidded off the roadway in an effort to avoid the crash. The crash was investigated by New Hampshire State Police.

According to Tamworth Police Chief Dana Littlefield, at around 3:27 p.m. on Aug. 9, Tamworth Officer Peter Beede, who is also chief of Moultonborough Police, had just completed a motor vehicle stop in the area of 1080 Page Hill Road, just west of the Farm Stand Bed and Breakfast, and was turning around with his emergency lights on.
