CONWAY — One of the brothers who saved a woman who almost drowned in the Saco River near First Bridge last week told the Sun he wants to thank those who helped with the rescue and also to encourage people to learn CPR.

Last Thursday’s incident came to the Sun’s attention after witness Kristen Evans of Hanson, Mass., posted about it on social media. Evans had been staying at the Eastern Slope Inn in North Conway and spent part of her afternoon at First Bridge.
