BARTLETT — Federal, state and local officials celebrated Wednesday after it was announced that the Lower Bartlett Water Precinct has been given more than $6.4 million in grants and $15 million in loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Department of Rural Development. The money will go toward building sewer lines and stormwater drainage systems and clean drinking water for homes and businesses. However, the Bartlett selectmen and planning board oppose the project as they feel it will lead to unbridled growth.

The plan is to replace individual septic tanks with a municipal sewer system that would connect to the North Conway Water Precinct for treatment.

How about banning STR's and cluster housing.

Then maybe the market will settle and locals can afford housing.
