Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) says he loves being an executive councilor. (JAMIE GEMMITI PHOTO

CONWAY — With 108 towns in District 1, which covers nearly two-thirds of the Granite State, Executive Councilor Joe Kenney has a daily planner that’s chock-a-block and he spends a lot of time on the road, averaging more than 60,000 miles per year, in an effort to provide the best possible constituent service. And, he loves the job.

The Wakefield Republican has held the office since 2014, and, once again, is facing a family challenger in Hanover Democrat Mike Cryans in Tuesday’s general election. Kenney, 58, has topped the Grafton County Commissioner three prior times.
