BARTLETT — While no longer on the board, that hasn’t stopped former longtime Bartlett School Board member Scott Grant from staying abreast of school issues. He was heavily involved in high school tuition contract negotiations, and at the board’s Aug. 5 meeting, he told his former colleagues they are not doing enough in this area, nor are they keeping the public updated on the process. The current board disagrees.
“I have, unfortunately, some very disturbing news tonight to talk about,” Grant said during public comments at the outset of the meeting. “I think that the board has been derelict in not using the strategic plan to talk about high school tuition contracts. … Unfortunately, when we had this strategic plan and all the community input done over the last year and a half or so, lots of people wanted to have high school options.”
