OSSIPEE — A Carroll County Superior Court grand jury has again indicted a Maine man who reportedly caused the crash last year that fatally injured the son of then state Rep., now state Sen. Mark McConkey (R-Freedom).
The crash occurred June 15, 2024, just after 7 p.m., on Route 16 in West Ossipee at the gas station the elder McConkey owns, M&V Convenience Store. Carroll County Carroll County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Santuccio said Jacob McConkey, 31, of Freedom was driving a motorcycle when he was struck by a pickup and had to be flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, by Boston Lifeflight.
