CONWAY — The Conway School District is in dire need of custodians. Despite increasing the starting pay to $20 an hour last year, Superintendent Kevin Richard shared with the Conway School Board on July 17 that the shortage may necessitate an emergency bump in pay.

“We’re very shorthanded and have been for a while,” Richard said by phone last Wednesday. “We’re down four at (Kennett) High School and three at (Kennett) Middle School.”
