CONWAY — A two-weekend bell-ringing effort at Salvation Army kettles outside the North Conway Market Basket raised $3,378 to support Salvation Army assistance programs serving 14 local towns across northern Carroll County, local officials said.
Volunteers involved in the effort, which ran Dec. 5-6 and Dec. 12-13, were Conway Selectman Ryan Shepard, Town Manager John Eastman, Welfare Officer BJ Parker, state Reps. Steve Woodcock and David Paige (both D-Conway), Peer Support’s Rose Normandin and Elizabeth Sloane, Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chris Proulx and resident Richard Joyce. Eastman said Selectman Peter Donohoe also contributed.
