CONWAY — Police would like pet owners not to leave their animals in hot cars during the summer.

As of July 29, Police have responded to 42 calls for service regarding dogs in vehicles when it was hot outside. In 2023, there were 76 calls. In 2024, there were 88 calls. Police Chief Chris Mattei told the Sun 2025 looks like it will be on track for a similar number by the end of this summer season as the prior two years.
