In the candidate's own words: Billy Cuccio, state rep District 2

CONWAY — Incumbent Tom Buco (D-Conway), Sean Carney (D-Conway), Billy Cuccio (R-North Conway), incumbent Frank McCarthy (R-Conway), incumbent Karen Umberger (R-Kearsarge) and Syndi White (D-North Conway are the six  candidates running for three New Hampshire House of Representative seats from Carroll County District 2, which serves Chatham, Conway, Eaton and Hart’s Location. Below is Billy Cuccio's candidate essay.

"My name is Billy Cuccio, and I am running for New Hampshire District 2 state representative. My grandparents moved to America from Palermo, Sicily, in the early 1900s in hopes of a better future. The corruption and poor economy at that time in Italy led them to believe it was worth the risk to cross an ocean to the unknown opportunity that was the United States of America. They became successful restaurateurs and passed a bustling Long Island, N.Y., Italian restaurant down to my father, Bill Cuccio, and his brother, Bob. My dad often visited New Hampshire to ski and hike, and fell in love with the Mount Washington Valley and the spirited 'Live Free or Die' attitude of the great Granite State.
