ComplaintsAug. 19 2:08 a.m. An open window and door were reported at a construction trailer on Bradley Street. No signs of entry. Checked inside; secured premises. 3:08 a.m. Loud noise was reported at Canal Bridge Campground. The group was warned for disorderly conduct. Officer stood by while they went to bed. 1 p.m. Police assisted Fryeburg Fire Department with a fire alarm on Main Street. Someone was burning candles. Police received an anonymous tip about possible marijuana plants in a small clearing at Estowah Cove Road. Two 8-foot tall marijuana plants were cut down and destroyed. 3:45 p.m. Police assisted Fryeburg Rescue while on patrol on the Saco River. 5 p.m. Several people at the Swans Falls landing claimed a man was screaming and yelling because the canoe rental van was not moving fast enough. The officer spoke with the male and warned him for disorderly conduct. While on patrol on the Saco River, six summonses were issued for operating a water craft without proper safety equipment. 7 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was hanging around Smith Street area. Checked area with negative contact. 8 p.m. A Vermont man was warned to leave a Bridgton Street business or he would be arrested. Man was escorted off the property.Aug. 20 9 a.m. Police assisted Saco River Canoe with the removal of two canoes suspended from the Canal Bridge. 10:15 a.m. Police assisted Fryeburg Rescue with an out-of-control male on Oxford Street. Officer accompanied Fryeburg Rescue and the man to Bridgton Hospital. 12:05 p.m. Police responded to Walkers Bridge for a domestic disturbance that turned out to be a Goffstown family wrestling and play fighting. 5:39 p.m. An Oxford Street business reported someone had broken into the building, and cash was taken and damage done to a window screen. 10:15 p.m. Four juveniles on Maple Street were acting suspicious. They were spoken to and told to go home.Aug. 21 6:35 a.m. A large pine tree had fallen across Route 302. Maine Department of Transportation was notified, and the tree was removed. 9:15 a.m. A Portland Street business reported a burglary/theft of cash. The door was unlocked but had been locked the evening before. 1:45 p.m. An Easton, Mass., male reported his bike was stolen from Swans Falls Landing. He also reported that the seat was taken off before his run through the trails. 2:44 p.m. A Conway real estate business called to report that signs on a property on Hemlock Bridge Road were pulled down on several occasions. 5:43 p.m. A woman from Lebanon, Maine, reported that while at the Canal Bridge Campground on Aug. 19, her ex-boyfriend from Biddeford burned her cooler, tent, air mattress and other belongings after an argument. An investigation of the incident is under way. 7:50 p.m. A report of juveniles wrestling on the roof of a trailer on Ice House Road was received. Police arrived on the scene; juveniles had permission to be up there. 9:20 p.m. An out-of-control 15-year-old male juvenile and his parents were counseled by officers on the rights and responsibilities as a parent/child on Fish Street after police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance.Aug. 22 11:30 p.m. Police assisted Fryeburg Fire Department with a woodpile fire at the transfer station. Aug. 23 12:15 p.m. A Main Street business reported a bike of an employee had been taken from the front of the building. 9:50 p.m. A man was lying on the roadside at the intersection of Route 5 and Chautauqua Road, possibly injured. The subject was located walking north on Route 5, and questioned, said he had "stopped to rest."Arrests and summonsesAug. 19 6 a.m. Report received from the manager of the Canal Bridge Campground that the same group that was warned at 3 a.m. was causing a disturbance. Arrested for alleged disorderly conduct were Michael Proctor, 24; Joseph Giuliano, 25; Nicholas White, 24; Robert Christiano, 25; and Michael Copoulos, 26, all from Canton, Mass. All were transported to the Oxford County Jail without incident. 6 p.m. A 15-year-old juvenile was summonsed for domestic assault on Stanley Hill Road. 7 p.m. Jeffery Farrington, 29, Glen, was arrested on charges of operating after suspended registration, use of drug paraphernalia; and operating without a license on Route 5. 9:50 p.m. Allyn Horton, 21, Plymouth, Mass., refused to leave and was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass at Fiddlehead Campground. Aug. 20 9:30 p.m. Brian Hill, 18, was summonsed for allegedly furnishing liquor to a minor and illegal possession of liquor by a minor by consumption; and Matthew Perry, 18, was summonsed for alleged illegal possession of liquor by a minor by consumption. Both are from Berkley, Mass. Frederick Jackson, 18, Somerset, Mass., was summonsed for alleged illegal possession of liquor by a minor by consumption at Walker Bridge. Aug. 23 6:10 p.m. Joseph Barker, 31, Bridgton, was summonsed for allegedly operating a motor vehicle after suspension on Route 302.
