Possession of a controlled drug, first and second degree assault and theft by unauthorized taking were among indictments handed down by a Carroll County grand jury this month. Sean Stacey, 23, of Albany is charged with possession of a controlled drug for allegedly possessing heroin. According to the indictment, Stacey was previously convicted of possession with intent to sell a class B drug on November 15, 2002 in Cumberland County Superior Court in Portland. The charge is a Class A special felony carrying a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in N.H. state prison and up to $50,000 in fines.Lawrence Ayres, 42, of Center Conway is charged with second degree assault for allegedly striking a woman in the face and causing a fracture in her left eye socket. The charge is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Sandra Strassel, 55, of Bartlett is charged with theft by unauthorized taking. She allegedly obtained U.S. currency in excess of $1,000 from Storybook Inn. The charge is a Class A felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Jessica Cowan, 23, of Wakefield is charged with first degree assault for allegedly stabbing a man twice in the torso with a knife, causing wounds through his skin and muscle tissue. The charge is a Class A felony.In addition, the county attorney has brought a related charge of simple assault against Cowan for allegedly biting the man on his back. The charge is a class A misdemeanor.Michael Bell, 40, of Ossipee is charged with attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault against a woman. The charge is a class A felony.Karyn Silverio, 36, of North Conway is charged with theft by deception for allegedly issuing checks in excess of $1,000 on her empty Woodland Credit Union checking account and obtaining property from various businesses in North Conway. The charge is a Class A felony.Marcus Cram, 19, of Ossipee is charged with theft by deception for allegedly representing $3,470 in false checks drawn on his Bank of New Hampshire account at Woodlands Credit Union. The charge is a Class A felony.Thomas Fraser, 18, of West Ossipee is charged with criminal threatening for allegedly gripping a black folding knife and pointing it at Robert Fraser while he said, "Go ahead and try me and see what happens to you." The charge is a Class B felony.In addition, the assistant county attorney has brought a charge of resisting detention against Fraser for allegedly stepping away from uniformed officers after being informed he was under arrest and holding up his fists in a manner as to fight, stating, "I am not going this way," and then running away. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor.Joseph Longo, 21, of Center Ossipee is charged with witness tampering for allegedly striking Jonathan Tefry in the head, back and chest with his hand in retaliation against Tefry, who was a witness that Longo's brother was selling marijuana to him. The charge is a Class B felony. In addition, the assistant county attorney has brought a related charge of simple assault against Longo. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor. Seth Meisner, 20, of Center Ossipee is charged with arson and conspiracy to commit arson for allegedly agreeing with Geoffrey Morrill to burn a vehicle belonging to Morrill and then setting fire to it. Both charges are Class B felonies.Eli Sawyer, 21, of Ossipee is charged with bail jumping for allegedly failing to appear in court after being released on bail on the condition he will appear in court at all scheduled times. The charge is a special felony.Frederick Stowell, 55, of Ossipee is charged with two counts of second degree assault for allegedly striking a woman repeatedly about her body with a metal broom handle and biting her arm. Each charge is a Class B felony.Carrie E. Bunnell, 18, of Wolfeboro is charged with theft by deception for allegedly cashing seven checks drawn on Bank of New Hampshire at Devylder's Market in Wolfeboro for $925.09 while the account was closed. The charge is a Class B felony.In addition, the assistant county attorney has brought a related charge of false report to law enforcement against Bunnell for allegedly telling a Wolfeboro officer her checkbook was stolen in order to lead him to believe the checks had been cashed by another. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor.Corey Fuller, 19, of Wolfeboro is charged with three counts of forgery for allegedly writing several checks belonging to three other individuals. Each charge is a Class B felony.Lance R. Gagnon, 44, of Wolfeboro is charged with arson for allegedly starting a fire at a shed belonging to Christopher Brennion and Kim DeBow of Wolfeboro that is valued at $3,261. The charge is a class B felony.Gagnon is also charged with witness tampering for allegedly attempting to induce Debow and Brennion to withhold information by leaving a message on their home answering machine stating the police have been over to see him, and by telling his neighbors not to get him involved. The charge is a Class B felony.Morrill, 32, of Wolfeboro is charged with conspiracy to commit arson and insurance fraud for allegedly concealing from his insurance company that he had conspired with Meisner to burn his vehicle and obtain payment from the policy. The insurance fraud charge is a Class A felony.Jay Downs and Anthony Tgibedes, both 20, of Moultonborough are charged with two counts of theft by unauthorized taking. In concert with each other, the two men allegedly took a Kenwood stereo with CD, an insert for the stereo, a ski vest, fire extinguisher, screwdriver and spotlight from a boat belonging to T. Andre Bover as well as stereo equipment from Michael Silva. Each charge is a Class B felony.Both men are also facing a Class B felony charge of criminal mischief for allegedly damaging the Moultonborough Academy athletic fields.Andrew J. Pieszchala and Keith A. Reuter, both 18, of Moultonborough are charged with two Class A felony counts of theft by unauthorized taking for allegedly taking in concert with one another stereo equipment valued over $1,000 from Austin Maher and Brian Burbank, both of Moultonborough. The assistant county attorney has also brought a related Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass against both men for allegedly entering Burbank's garage. Lynne R. Brunelle, 38, of Alton Bay is charged with acts prohibited for allegedly altering the quantity of a Vicodin prescription from 12 to 20. The charge is a Class B felony.Luke Kendall, 43, of Tuftonboro is charged with a Class B felony of violating the duty to report in that as a convicted sex offender with a lifetime duty to register allegedly failed to provide written notification of a change of address within 30 days after residing at a new residence since the date of his marriage in October of 2002. According to the indictment, Kendall was also convicted of a misdemeanor offense of violating the duty to report in February of 2002 in Plymouth District Court.
