CONWAY — Cursive handwriting is not what it once was in in our local schools, and, in fact, is no longer even required in SAU 9 and SAU 13..

With the evolution of computers, cell phones and other social networks, students are no longer committed to writing in cursive. And the Common Core Standards being implemented next year do not include instruction in cursive handwriting.
