CONWAY — On Tuesday, Conway Emergency Manager George Walker told selectmen that the drought, which has become severe in the southern part of the state, now poses a threat for more northern towns like Conway.

Walker told the board he had recently participated in a conference call with state experts, including meteorologists and officials from the Department of Environmental Services.
