Two buildings at former Cliffside site to house additional six apartments

The planning board has approved plans for two additional apartment buildings behind the apartment building located at the former Cliffside property off West Side Road in North Conway. Most recently the White Horse Bar and Grille, the building currently houses seven one-bedroom apartments and one one-bedroom apartment. It is owned by Lee Family Enterprises Inc.The two new structures would be located east of the existing structure, with each housing three one-bedroom apartments.Engineer Burr Phillips of Civil Solutions LLC made revisions in his original plan, reducing the lighting and eliminating a southern entrance off West Side Road. The board granted a waiver for a turning radius. Phillips said the impact on the infrastructure is less than it was for the restaurants that previously stood there. The septic is there and the water is there. It's a lot less use than when the restaurant was there, Phillips told board members. You did a marvelous job. You listened to us, said board vice chair Martha Tobin. After the meeting, Phillips said he did not know when Lee Family Enterprises planned to construct the two new buildings.I would guess spring, but it all depends I guess on the economy, said Phillips.
