Adrián Carballo Casla. // People over 60 who leave over 12 hours between meals are more susceptible to chronic diseases, according to a new study.The findings show trendy fasting diets are not suitable for older people, say scientists.Swedish researchers found that senior citizens who usually had longer intervals between meals accumulated chronic diseases more rapidly over time than those with shorter intervals.The study, published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, showed that the association was most pronounced among people aged 78 or older.
