CONWAY — For the eighth consecutive year, kindergartners at Pine Tree School went on a townwide hunt Wednesday for the paper gingerbread men they had created earlier this week but which “ran away” from their classrooms overnight.
Aided by Principal Aimee Frechette and other helpful grown-ups, the students spent the day searching all over the valley. Their school bus went from the Conway Police Station, where they asked for help with their missing “person” reports, to Mineral Springs Care and Rehabilitation Center in North Conway, where they also sang some songs and talked with residents.
