CONWAY — Ski areas are gearing up for a strong Christmas Week, with fresh new natural snow falling Tuesday into Wednesday and with extended snowmaking. Five-plus inches of new snow fell Tuesday into Wednesday, with great snowmaking temperatures. 

Ski areas operating on Christmas Day included Attitash, Black, Bretton Woods, Cranmore and Wildcat Mountain. King Pine was not open Christmas Day but like all local resorts has a full week of holiday week events planned.
