CONWAY — The Kiwanis Club of Mount Washington Valley was pleased this week to present their “Friend of Kiwanis” award for 2025-2026 to Laura K Cummings of White Birch Books. The “Friend of Kiwanis" award is given to individuals who demonstrate outstanding support of the Club’s initiatives to serve the children of Mt Washington Valley.

Laura and White Birch Books are always there for MWV Kiwanis as they support the children of the Valley, such as providing discounts to purchases of books for Angels & Elves. Their largest and most impactful contributions has been through the MWV Kiwanis “Read Today, Lead Tomorrow” program, which has grown from providing free books and leadership training at one elementary school to serving several schools and preschools throughout the Mount Washington Valley.
