JACKSON — The Jackson Covered Bridge was struck for the third time this year Saturday morning, said Jackson Police Chief Chris Perley.

An operator of a truck and fifth-wheel travel trailer struck the left side fascia on the western side of the bridge. No injuries were reported, and the damage to the bridge was described as “cosmetic” by state Department of Transportation road crew foreman Kenneth Crowther.
