CONWAY — Mud Bowl Weekend got off to a soupy start Friday, with Thursday night’s showers having added to the tilling job done by Jeff Hatch of Sherman Farm per usual followed by the watering by volunteers. The sun came out mid-morning, making for a nice frst day afterall.

We all know we’ve badly needed rain, so it’s nice to see some – but we’re just hoping the weekend’s predicted showers don’t rain on today’s 42nd Tournament of Mud Parade set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Kudos to all the volunteers, sponsors, and players — and of course, this year’s grand marshas, the original, 11-time champion MWV Hogs.
