CONWAY — On the eve of Sunday’s Super Bowl victory No. 6 for the New England Patriots, which was cause for yet another celebration throughout Patriots Nation, the North Conway Country Club was the setting last Saturday night for a sold-out Cranmore Snowsports Hall of Fame ceremony for the three latest inductees, Fred Hartwell, Mary Miller and Dean Karnopp.

Fred Hartwell, 95, and now living near his daughter Heidi at a nursing home near Stowe in Morrisville, Vt., was heralded by all for his years of teaching for both Hannes and Herbert Schneider, and for his having served with valor, winning the Bronze Star in the 10th Mountain Division Ski Troops of World War II.
