North Country Angling - fish in net

Following unwritten rules can lead to successful angling outcomes. (STEVE ANGERS PHOTO)

The outdoor community thrives on trust and ethics. Since those two traits are interpreted differently by each individual, how they get executed can span the spectrum.

A favorite one from the angling community is to give a fellow angler “space” when you see that angler on a piece of water. When one walks down to a favorite fishing spot and sees that spot occupied, it is an unwritten rule to move upstream or downstream to the next fishable piece of water.
