Valley Voice: Foliage and fair fun!

THIS HAS TO BE A RECORD — according to local weather observer Briggs Bunker of WMWV 93.5-FM's “Morning Weather Show,” we'd had six straight, perfect weather 50-centers heading into today, and seven of the last eight days here were top of the charts in terms of daily weather ratings in Foliage Central Land. That's a lot of drum rolls for “Morning Show” co-host Roy “The Skiing DJ” Prescott to keep up with!

All of which means it's been a perfect stretch of fair Fayuh weather, as in Maine's Fall Blue Ribbon Classic, the 163rd Fryeburg Fair, being held Sept. 29 through Oct. 6 — a stark contrast to the fall fallout down in Malfunction Junction, otherwise known as Washington, D.C., where the politicians are truly earning their 10 percent (or less!) approval rating concerning their efforts to derail  Obamacare by shutting down the government, now in its third day as of this writing Thursday.
