Tamworth Town Column: Tamworth Conservation Commission to present vernal pond program April 21

Tamworth Conservation Commission is sponsoring a walk to explore vernal ponds with opportunities to learn about and discuss the natural history of wood frogs, mole salamanders and other creatures with guide Chris Conrod. I hear that although his background is mainly loons and granivorous rodents, he has "a special warm spot in his heart" for amphibians. Meet on Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m., rain or shine at 679 Old Mail Road, 1.2 miles from Gardner Hill Road wearing footwear suitable for muddy terrain.
