​It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hunter Sterling Sampson at the age of 27. He died of accidental respiratory failure on Nov. 9, 2025. Hunter was born Jan. 15, 1998, to Karen Alexander in Madison, N.H.

​In his early years, he attended Madison Elementary, then Kennett Middle and Senior High School. He spent many happy years living by Silver Lake, enjoying swimming and paddling his yellow kayak to the island where he loved swinging on the rope swing. He was in several plays in elementary and middle school. He loved to hike, play basketball, and run cross-country track in high school.
