What’s white, wet, heavy and has made an appearance around my house a few times in the last couple months? If any of my family reading this said “Bob’s mashed potatoes” then please imagine my leer in your direction. Snow. The answer is snow.

We have been busy enjoying winter traditions around town with King Pine up and running, and most of Silver Lake iced over. It seems that Hurricane Point has been a bit of a holdout this year, extending a stubborn finger of open water off the eastern shore of the lake. It hasn’t dissuaded the ice-fishing faithful from charging out atop the frozen lake top in a quest to retrieve a winter’s togue.
