With less than a week until Christmas, I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season as much as I have. Driving through the Mount Washington Valley in the evening is a real treat. It seems that everyone is in the spirit with colorful lights twinkling everywhere. I’ve also had a wonderful time watching families hunting for their perfect Christmas tree at the Mountain View Tree Farm, opened this year by my son, his wife, and my grandson in East Fryeburg. The farm will be open for one more weekend, so if you are a family that likes putting up your tree just before Christmas, you still have time to cut your own. Check out their Facebook page if you have the chance.
There will be many lovely church services offered between now and Christmas Eve, but I’d like to mention a few of them. The North Fryeburg Community Chapel will hold a service on Friday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. The children will put on a wonderful rendition of a living creche. The true meaning of Christmas is heartfelt when you see the little ones taking such an active part at this little Chapel.
