Eaton Town Column: Eaton Village Store under construction this week

The New England Tenors’ concert at the Inn at Crystal Lake on Friday, Sept. 29, is now sold out. However, call (603) 447-2120 to be put on the waiting list. This is the Tenors’ sixth visit to the inn, and if you haven’t heard them, you are in for a big treat (that is, if you can get a seat). The cost is $65 per person and includes a four-course dinner. Watch your heads this week as the Eaton Village Store will be under construction with Ray Desmarais and his company building a new roof and putting in solar panels. Things could be falling near the cars, so since the Eaton Village Store is closed all week, only come in for your mail. The post office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. There won’t be coffee and muffins like other times when it is closed, because they want to keep the traffic to a minimum. One of the other doors will be open for you to come in to get your mail. On Saturday, the post office will be open from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The store will reopen on Monday, Sept. 25.
