A beautiful, sunny, but brisk morning greeted four skiers as they put on their skis in the Rocky Branch parking lot last Friday, Feb. 27. What to wear and what wax to use were the questions.

Gail Costello was our tour leader. The plan was to ski up North Hall Trail to the Kellogg Trail junction, turn left and descend Kellogg to the North Ellis River Trail, then connect to South Ellis and ski back to the center. We were taking the “low road” back to Jackson. Another option would be to take the “high road” way via North Hall, Maple and South Hall connections, but some of that wasn’t groomed. We’d save that for another day.
