Welcome to my favorite two months, September and October, and the weather cooperating will be wonderful. I love those cool nights, breezy days, colored leaves, pumpkins, Fryeburg Fair, mums, mazes, corn stalks, hay bales, apple crisp (with ice cream), Vinny’s pizza, and everything associated with fall. Join me in celebrating together.
Mountain Top Music Center Community Orchestra, directed by Laurie Turley, will be presenting “An Orchestral Kick Off to the New Season” on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Majestic Theatre in Main Street in Conway. Doors and concessions open at 6 p.m. with the show at 7 p.m. Admission by donation. This is an informal concert of early Baroque and classical music with selections by Haydn, Handel, Bertini, CP.E. Bach and more. Two Eatonites will be playing also: Peter Klose and Candace Maher.
