CONWAY — Andrew Bridgeman has taken a circuitous route to becoming an author, but writing has always been a passion and it is finally getting its outlet in the page-turning thriller, "Fortunate Son." White Birch Books will host the launch party for Bridgeman and his debut on Saturday, Sept. 28, starting at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to all.
"Fortunate Son" opens five days before the presidential inauguration. Emma Noble, a rookie FBI agent on the first day of her job, is sent to inform Ben Danvers in Boston that he is not who he thinks he is — that his whole life has been a lie. He is actually the son of the incoming vice-president and was part of a huge unsolved kidnapping 20 years ago. What neither of these two know is that they are merely players in a decades-long conspiracy that is finally coming to fruition and there is nowhere to run, no one to trust, and only five days to figure it all out.
