CONWAY — On April 28, a member of the Mount Washington Valley community suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke.

Theresa Bernhardt, who is known for involvement in many charitable and community activities, was med-flighted to Maine Medical Center, where she underwent emergency surgery. She spent three weeks in intensive care and several more weeks in rehabilitation facilities before recently returning home. She is still in recovery, working hard every day to regain full health.
