TAMWORTH — Cook Memorial Library and Chocorua Lake Conservancy will be presenting “Forest Management and Carbon” with UNH Cooperative Extension Natural Resources Field Specialist Wendy Scribner live via Zoom on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m.

One of the many benefits the forests provide is their ability to sequester and store carbon. Rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are driving changes in our climate. Trees use carbon dioxide to grow, and there has been a lot of discussion about how we can enhance the ability of our trees and forests to capture and store carbon.
