William Francis “Bill” Dinneen passed away peacefully at his home in Kearsarge, N.H., on Sept. 1, 2026, after a long illness. Born in Lowell, Mass., on June 4, 1947, he spent a life defined by unwavering devotion to family, friends and faith.
Bill’s early years were spent in Chelmsford, Mass., where he attended primary school before graduating from Keith Academy in Lowell, Class of 1965. He furthered his education at St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, earning his B.A. in 1969. Bill began his career with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement Division. His expertise and commitment to his work led him to the private sector as vice president of the consulting firm Maximus, which brought him and his family to Franklin, Tenn., where they lived for 20 years. In due course, Bill returned to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement, a testament to his unwavering support to public service.
