Obituary: Daryl E. Smith

Daryl E. Smith Sr. was born July 29, 1954, and he passed away March 2, 2025, at his home in Conway, N.H. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte Perkins Smith and Luther Earl Smith.

Daryl was born and raised in Lovell, Maine, with his two brothers, Bruce and Brian Smith. He graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1972. Here is where he grew his love for skiing, as a member of Fryeburg Academy’s ski team F.A.S.T.. After high school he attended the University of Southern Maine. He then had over a 20-year career at Shaw’s Supermarket, followed by various positions in the hotel industry. He also was proud to have been a member and past master of the Mt. Washington Masonic Lodge No. 87.
