Lawrence Arthur Sinclair Sr., 81, of Main Street, Brownfield, died Wednesday Dec. 4, 2002, at the Fryeburg Health Care.Larry was born in Brownfield May 9, 1921, the son of Neil and Linnie (Greenlaw) Sinclair. He graduated from the old Bean Memorial High School. Larry was in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He returned to Brownfield and worked for Diamond National and Birchcraft Industries. In 1948 Larry developed polio, and even with this physical disadvantage, he never became discouraged. He moved to Lebanon, Maine, where he remained for 20 years and worked for Wishbone Farms. Larry returned to Brownfield and lived with his companion, Eva Day.Larry was predeceased by a son, Lewis, and his wife Ethel (Cole) Sinclair. He is survived by seven sons, Lawrence Jr. and David W., both of Alton, NH, Francis B., James C., Charles R., and Bradford B., all of Lebanon, Maine, and Tony A. of East Rochester, NH; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.Visiting hours will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wood Funeral Home, 12 Warren Street, Fryeburg, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Norman Rust officiating.
