Over 900 hamburgers, 300 hot dogs, and 1,500 cans of soda and bottles of water were consumed by 1,000 hungry bikers on June 13 after they returned from their memorable Ride to the Sky on the Mount Washington Auto Road during Laconia Bike Week 2002. With the generosity of many area businesses, this Barbecue for Charities, sponsored by the Mount Washington Valley chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG), raised over $3,000 for local charities.Businesses supporting the Barbecue for Charities were Abbotts Dairy, Bartlett Ice Co., Bills Place Restaurant, Castle Springs, Country Kitchen, Dunkin Donuts, Frito-Lay, Fryeburg Fair Association, Johnson Gas & Propane, Mt.
