Harry Guy Crouse, 79 of Center Chatham, N.H., died June 28, 2003 at the Bridgton Hospital. Harry was born in Chatham Sept. 2, 1923 and was a lifelong resident, the son of Guy and Mattie (McKeen) Crouse. Harry was a farmer, woodsmen and worked for Western Maine Nurseries. He was Chatham Road Commissioner during the '60s, Town Fence Viewer for many years and was on the cemetery committee. Harry played c-melody saxophone with his family band. He enjoyed polka music, gardening, cutting wood and was a Civil War, WWI and WWII history buff.He was predeceased by his wife Gloria (Wiggin) Crouse in 1998 and a brother Rodney Crouse. He is survived by a daughter Laurie Crouse of Center Chatham.A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Center Chatham Cemetery.Donations may be made in memory of Harry to the Fryeburg Rescue, P.O. Box 177, Fryeburg, ME 04037.Arrangements are with Wood Funeral Home of Fryeburg.
